Water, Sanitary and Storm Sewer Improvements
| Work Included | Blue Ridge Farms is a residential subdivision, located in the City of Lynchburg Va., developed in the mid 1950’s thru the mid 1960’s. The City, in an ongoing effort to revitalize its infrastructure, designed and released in the form of competitive bid contracts phases I, II and III for the replacement, upgrade and addition of much needed water, sanitary sewer and storm drain improvements for the ageing subdivision. To date, F.L. Showalter has been the successful low-bid contractor on all three phases of this ongoing project. The three projects include more than 20,000 linear feet of 6-, 8- and 12-inch water mains, 10,000 linear feet of 12-, 8- and 6-inch sewer mains, 40 manholes, 200 residential sewer connections, 7,500 feet of sanitary sewer rehabilitation, 23,000 square yards of pavement overlay and miscellaneous storm sewer improvements totaling more than $4,500,000.00. There are more phases to this project slated to be released in the near future. |
